5 Delicious, Quick AND Healthy Snacks You Will LOVE

This post is about a variety of healthy snacks that I believe you’ll enjoy.



If you are anything like me, you love snacking. I think it’s important to mention that before you start reaching for a snack, make sure you are all caught up on your meals! According to Franziska Spritizler, she recommends, “consuming a minimum of 20-30 grams of protein each meal.” Read the rest HERE


Another important fact to take into consideration is that when you want a snack you may not actually be hungry, but instead you may be thirsty. Read more about understanding the difference between the two -> HERE


With that said, snacking can be a great way to increase your protein, carbs, and fats.



Now let's dive into my favorite healthy snacks!



Parfait

This snack is SO delicious, and can be healthy if you are mindful of the products you choose.


What you need:

-Yogurt (my fav is Oikos Triple Zero. It’s high in protein and low sugar!)

-2 small strawberries cut up

-Just the Cluster Chocolate Almond Granola Cereal from Trader Joes (or any granola)


Mix it together and enjoy!




Beef Jerky (High Protein!)

What you want to be mindful of in beef jerky is protein, carbs, and calories.

Also look out for where the ingredients are sourced from.


I recommend getting your sugars from all natural sugar sources like honey, brown sugar, or sugar cane.


Keep in mind not all carbs are bad, but be weary of your own personal goals.

I found the Matador brand at a local corner market, but here’s another great brand: Field Trip Beef Jerky







Chips


I often get in the mood for chips. Instead of purchasing my favorite junk options (Lemon Lays and Hot Cheetos), I typically go for one of these options.

  • Quest Chips 20g protein 3 g carbs Can’t get enough of these!

  • Pork Rinds. High Protein Zero carbs. Zero sugars. Always stocked in our pantry!

  • Skinny Pop ( Kettle Corn & Original are my fav!)












The Sweets


My sweet tooth is ridiculous so it’s only right that I have an entire list of healthier alternatives for sweet tooth lovers like me!







Avocado & Crackers


I’ve recently been obsessing over this snack because it’s so simple and filling! All you need is some avocado (season how you like!) I usually just add salt and pepper. The crackers I use are good ol’ triscuits. The ingredients in this cracker brand are so simple (just wheat and oil!)
