This post is all about Amazon must have essentials that every sewer needs in their sewing space.

Make your life easier with these must have's in sewing. Whether you are a beginner or sewn your entire life, these products will help you save time, stress and money! This blog will share those must have essentials Amazon has for sewing.
Have you ever stepped on a pin? Ouuuuuuch. I have and I had to pull it out on my own. Just imagine how long a pin is... yeah, my foot was sore for a week.
Not only will you get cleanup time to be more efficient, this product will also save you money in buying so many boxes of pins from losing them all. The magnet makes it easy to clean and easy to find pins you don't even see! Trust me, you will never be able to be without one of these again.
If you want to level up, get a magnetic pin cushion for your wrist!! I didn't know this was a thing until my fiance showed me it was thing! Seriously it's awesome please just trust me on this and buy!
If you are anything like me, I don't necessarily enjoy cutting fabric. Slippery fabric can feel impossible to cut!
Therefore, Fabric weights make cutting so much easier. I barely use pins while cutting. These weights just allow cutting to be quick and simple. Just place these in each corner of your pattern and snip snip snip!
Time is moneeeeeeey! Save time by purchasing pre-wound bobbins. I buy colored, white and black. I have a drawer specifically for these bobbins. When it comes to embroidery or regular sewing, this makes it quick to get straight to work by just picking one of these out to place in my machine. Personally, having pre-wound bobbins makes my day go with ease and sewing so much more easy! It just makes sense.
4. Twin Needles
Bump up the quality of your creations by using a twin needle!
This small difference makes your garments look very professional. People won't believe you made it at home. Buyers will love the neatness. Hems will look like factory made!
It is super easy to add and use to any machine. Just do a quick youtube video, or read your machines manual to adjust your settings. Mine is as simple as adding an extra thread and switching my machines setting to Twin Needle in.

Whether you have a serger or regular sewing machine, this duster makes cleaning quick! Small threads, fabric, dust all gather in the smallest nooks and crannies of your machine. Using this duster is the quickest and most efficient way to get in there!
I quickly spray in the bobbin area and around the machine to clean it up before every project. In my serger, I spray underneath the plate almost every use since the cutting gathers small fabric cuts in there often. I even use it to spray threads off my table and on to the ground for sweeping. Takes less than 10 seconds and it lasts a pretty long time. It is also weirdly satisfying! Try it!
For many many years, I cut everything on the floor. Before I had an office, I didn't even consider having a table since I really had no room.
This exact table is what I bought for my room and is now in my office. Both sides fold down for easy storage. It's on wheels which makes it even easier to move around and put away! It also has two containers underneath for storage. I've had it for 3 years and it has not scratched up once. My fiance used a rotary cutter on it without a mat underneath and no scratches! It is fairly cheap compared to other products online.
If you don't like it, Amazon has the best return policy similar to Costco. But if you buy this, trust me you won't return it. One of my favorite and most useful purchases.
At every machine I have, I keep small scissors for quick access. I ALWAYS miss threads. The easiest way for me to cut them perfectly is after every stitch. Instead of getting up to find where you put your scissors last, keep these small handy ones nearby every station to be more efficient.
Boost up the productivity by adding a small hook onto your machine to hang up the scissors on. Use these easy stick on hooks!
I'm sure you've heard of tailor's chalk. Tailor's chalk is a great tool to mark up your fabric. Taking it off your garment requires lots of rubbing or washing. These heat erasable pens make it so much easier to mark your fabric and take it off quickly.
You can't even really write clearly with tailor's chalk whereas writing with these pens is easy. I was first introduced to these in my high school fashion course. These really work and are a must have in being an efficient and productive sewer.
I'm all about being the most productive in sewing. Organization in your sewing space is seriously essential! It will save you headaches! For example, spools of threads intertwining in your drawer or container you are storing them in.
Make it easier with a wooden thread holder. I personally have the largest one hanging above my machine for easy reach. For beginner sewers, start out with a small one and as your stash grows get the largest size! You'll probably end up needing multiple so you will still need the small one as well. Sometimes these are on sale at Joaan's Fabric Store, but are usually cheapest on amazon.
To avoid the threads coming loose on your stand or even in drawers, use spool huggers to keep it organized. My bobbins were actually the messiest part in my office, and constantly got tangled up with each other. I'd have to waste thread by cutting and spending time trying to figure out what bobbin is on the other end of the tangled up thread.
These huggers HELP. To keep it simple, they help quite a bit. The variety of colors also looks nice and cleanliness in my office makes me happy. Since as you probably know, our sewing stations get messy very quickly.
11. Bobbin Stackers
If you'd rather keep your threads in a container, use these tools to match the matching bobbin and store in right on top of the thread! This wont work if you keep them on a wooden stand since the stand goes through the middle of the spool and this tool does also. You have to choose one or the other but both ways help in keeping your sewing productive.
These are just a few small tips on how to be more efficient, more productive and have less headaches while sewing. These few amazon products for sewing just make sense! If you get any of these and fall in love, please tell me! Go to my Instagram page and tell me what helped most. I'd love to know!
